Collins Aerospace approves AeroTek’s Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Liquid Particle Inspection (LPI) processes on aerospace parts

Collins Aerospace has approved AeroTek’s NDT (MPI & LPI) processes, including the following specifications:


MPI per ASTM 1444

LPI per ASTM 1417


Testings are immediately now available, at AeroTek Mfg’s Whitby facility, to sub-tiers in the Collins Aerospace supply chain. 



AeroTek’s facility can provide MPI-NDT services for aerospace and other metal parts up to 14 ft. long, and LPI-NDT services for parts up to 5 ft. long

The company’s business has been providing aerospace coatings to Collins Aerospace and others for close to 70 years.


Following NADCAP approval In February 2023, AeroTek has been approved by Bombardier, DeHavilland (Viking), Safran, Bell Helicopter and Honeywell, all this year in 2024.
